Friday at the Cell Group!
by the time we started, it was already cloudy. but Kat n i went on with our plans. heck, it’s a cell group…how could ANYONE want to miss Cell Group? so there we were, two decent well brought up Catholic girls attending a cell group meeting on a Friday. where? where else would you have a cell group meeting?! *looks around* obviously nobody here KNOWS about us Kat…it’s time to convert them!
our meeting began with the usual address from the Leader. then we divided ourselves into groups and discussed about popular culture, particularly the ever exciting Japanese pop-culture craze that’s hit our shores….from Anime to soap-operas to even Japanese food! meanwhile, our band was heard in the next room rehearsing some songs for the meditation session later.
ahh! the meditation!! what a change from all the stress we put up with the whole week. i kinda like this little ‘me-time’ thingy…i mean the music, the search for inner peace, the whole ‘calm your senses and feel one with your soul’…….sigh…..why didn’t i discover this wonderful feeling before? i have been enlightened!!!
then there was the group sharing. hah! the best part of all. everyone was eager to talk about their personal experiences. Kat n i surprisingly shared a similar vision: he walked the path, with the great white light at his back. his hair flying in the breeze as he casually sank his hands into his pockets. then our band played the famous hymn "..heaven came down and glory filled my soul…".
there….for all those who missed this great encounter…shame on you! like i said before…WHO would want to miss a CELL GROUP?! Kat n i can’t really put it into words, i mean this was bliss…you don’t get this ALL the time right? we are now changed individuals, we have been inspired…indeed we are truly blessed!!!
